How to create a parameter file

This section describes how to specify the setup information necessary for OS installation and how to create

a parameter file.

Follow the procedure described below.

Important

Do not remove the EXPRESSBUILDER DVD from the drive while creating a

parameter file.

Tips

 A parameter file can be created when using PC98-NX series, PC-9800 series,

and PC-AT compatible PCs.

 A parameter file can be created when using the following operating systems:

 Windows Server 2008 R2 (Full installation)

 Windows Server 2008 (Full installation)

 Windows Server 2003 x64 Edition, Windows Server 2003

 Windows 7

 Windows Vista

 Windows XP x64 Edition, Windows XP

1. Start the OS.

2. Insert the supplied EXPRESSBUILDER DVD into the optical disk drive. The EXPRESSBUILDER menu

item window appears.

3. Right-click on the window or click Setup Windows to open the short-cut menu.

4. Select Create a parameter file for Windows OS.
