8. For the Init
ial size text box in the Paging file size for selected drive group box, specify a value equal to
or greater than the Recommended value shown in the Total paging file size for all drives area, and
then click [Set].
Important
The above paging file sizes are recommended for collecting debug
information (dump file). The initial size of the boot volume paging file must
be large enough to store dump files. Make sure to set a sufficient paging
file size. If the paging file size is insufficient, correct debug information
might not be able to be collected due to a shortage of virtual memory.
For details about the Recommended value in the Total paging file size for
all drives area, refer to System partition size in Before Starting Setup.
When memory is added, re-specify the paging file according to the
increased memory size.
9. Click [OK].
A message to restart the system might appear, depending on the modifications made. In this case,
restart the system.
Specification of the memory dump settings is now complete.
