
♦Security Setting for Installation/Uninstallation
On the Windows Server 2003 system, if the "Administrators" group is removed from the "Impersonate a client after
authentication" item of the [User Rights Assignment] in the [Local Security Policy], perform the installation (including
the update installation) and uninstallation by following the procedure below.
1 Double-click [Administrative Tools]-[Local Security Policy] in [Control Panel].
2 Use [Local Policies] to add an "Administrators" group to the "Impersonate a client after authentication"
item.
3 Restart the OS.
4 Perform installation (uninstallation).
5 Restore the local security policy setting to the original setting.
6 Restart the OS.
♦Notes on Server Core
- Help dialog box of Alert Manager setting tool does not appear.
- "Manager (TCP/IP Out-of-Band)" method cannot be used.
♦User Account Control
On Windows Vista / Windows Server 2008 or later system that the User Account Control is turned on, if you start the
NEC ESMPRO Agent Control Panel or collect.exe program, the [User Account Control] dialog box will appear. Click
[Continue] button to start the program.
♦The number of mouse buttons
On Windows Vista / Windows Server 2008 or later system, the value of "Buttons" item of Mouse Information of the
[Information of server state/constitution] of NEC ESMPRO Manager is 'Unknown'.
