3. Features of Disk Array Controller

The disk array controller is equipped with one channel (2 ports per channel) of interface connectors

conforming to SAS. The data transfer rate per port is up to 300 MB/sec. The disk array controller provides

high performance.

The product is composed of N8403-019 disk array controller, backplane board, and internal connection

cable.

Features of disk array controller

 Data transfer rate of up to 300 MB/sec

 256MB DDR-II cache memory

 Up to two SAS HDD‟s connectable per board (2 HDD‟s connectable per channel)

 Support of RAID levels 0 and 1

 Report monitoring by NEC ESMPRO is available

 Automatic detection of faulty drive

 Replacement of failed HDD without system shutdown (hot-swap) is available

Notice

The disk array controller does not support the PCI hot plug feature.

Before connecting or disconnecting the disk array controller, be sure to

remove the CPU blade from the Blade Enclosure.
