MTBF Statistics
The fault-tolerant services software automatically maintains
mean-time-between-failure (MTBF) statistics for many system components.
Administrators can view this information in ftSMC at any time and can reconfigure the
MTBF parameters that affect how the fault-tolerant services respond to component
problems.
The system stores the current MTBF values associated with each device in Windows
registry keys. Whenever any of the MTBF values change, the registry reflects the
change. Therefore, when the driver stops and restarts, or the system restarts, the
system retains the current MTBF information.
For procedures explaining how to set these settings, see the online ftSMC snap-in help.
