■PCI Card: Priority/Order of Installation
Standard BTO Configuration:
Starting from the PCI cards with higher priority (see the table below), PCI cards are installed to the PCI slots
with higher priority among the available slots per CPU configuration (see the table below). The following basic rules are
applied to BTO configuration. If any other specific installation requirements, BTO configuration will not be applied.

The 1
st
RAID Controller needs to be installed to Slot#1.
The 2
nd
RAID Controller (if any) will not be installed (out of BTO configuration)
When External RAID Controller has Flash Backup Unit (FBU), the External RAID Controller will not be
installed (out of BTO configuration).
When the number of available PCI slot is 9, up to 8x 1000BASE-T Adapter (4 port) can be installed.
When the number of available PCI slot is 13, up to 12x 1000BASE-T Adapter (4 port) can be installed, AND
PCI card requiring IO space should be 8 or less except RAID Controller.
When the number of available PCI slot is 16, up to 15x 1000BASE-T Adapter (4 port) can be installed, AND
PCI card requiring IO space should be 8 or less except RAID Controller.
Priority of PCI Cards:
Can install to Slot #1 only
1000BASE-T Adapter (2 port)
1000BASE-T Adapter (1 port)
Fibre Channel Controller (8G/1 port)
External RAID Controller (1GB, w/o
FBU)
Fibre Channel Controller (16G/ 2port)
Can install to any slot other than
Slot #8 and #9
Fibre Channel Controller (16G/1 port)
Fibre Channel Controller (8G/2 port)
10GBASE Adapter (SFP+/2ch)
Can install to any slot other than
Slot #8 and #9
1000BASE-T Adapter (4 port)
