4.2 EXPRESSSCOPE Engine 3

This chapter explains "EXPRESSSCOPE Engine 3" items. Refer to set more detailed settings.

Explain the settings with the screen for Windows.

Item Description

Configuration Initialization *1 *3 You can restore all of configuration parameters to the default

settings. It will take a few minutes to restart BMC.

Reset *2 *3 You can reset BMC without rebooting system. It will take a

few minutes to restart BMC.

Clear SEL You can clear all records of System Event Log.

*1: This operation may cause data destruction.

*2: Please use this operation when you cannot operate the BMC functions correctly or if necessary. This

operation does not clear the configuration settings.

*3: False HW error information may be detected on the server if Shutdown, Reboot, or any other operation is

executed during a few minutes after this operation. Please refer to the server's User's Guide to get more

information, because the occurrence of the false HW error detection depends on the model of the server.
